Age of Austerity Ceilidh - Ceilidh Linn-Teanntachd - 15 October 2010

The Gaelic Learners' Group and Society member Chris Hood are arranging an informal ceilidh with music, song and dance on the evening of Friday 15 October 2010, between 7 and 11 pm.  The event, being arranged in association with Feis London and Lumen United Reformed Church, will take place at the Lumen URC and Community Centre, 88 Tavistock Place, London, WC1H 9RT.  There will be a buffet supper and refreshments and admission is £10.

Any profits on the evening will go the Camden churches cold weather centre for the homeless.   

 Saturday 26th June 2010

The Society's Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday 26 June 2010.  The following existing Committee members retiring by rotation were unanimously re-elected to the Committee:

May Macdonald, Dr Murdo MacLeod and Cathy Robertson

and Susan Fraser, proposed by Donald Maclennan and seconded by Sylvia Maclennan was unanimously elected as a new member of the Committee.

London Scottish (members of the Scottish Forum) have asked for the support of the Society's members and friends at the 'International Highland Games and Scottish Village' event to be staged at the Richmond Athletic Ground on 5th and 6th June 2010.  Further information and booking on www.londonscottish.com/highlandgames
